Before exercise (30–45 min):

*Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function after highly intensive and/or prolonged physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscles. The beneficial effect is obtained with a total intake of 4 grams of carbohydrates per kg of body weight, in doses, the first of which within 4 hours and the last no later than 6 hours after exercise.
