Energy Gel Bites

Soft Energy Bites

Blue Nana Soft Energy Bites are soft, bite-sized cubes with fast carbohydrates and electrolytes. Each bite (13g) provides 11 grams of carbohydrates from 60% fruit pulp. You chew two to three times and have instant fuel. No messy tear-off packaging, no swallowing like with an energy gel.

The soft energy bites come as a convenient bar of three cubes (3x13g). You break one off when you want and reseal the rest. Fits in your back pocket on the bike, in your running shorts or in your bag. And they don't melt in the heat.

Two fruit flavors

Sweet Cassis Caffeine combines a full cassis flavor with 17 mg of caffeine per bite. Useful if you're looking for mental sharpness in addition to energy. Fresh Lime is fresh and light, without caffeine.

All flavors are 100% plant-based, allergen-free (no gluten, lactose, soy, nuts or peanuts) and contain no artificial sweeteners. The ingredient list is short: fruit pulp, sugar, glucose syrup, pectin, salt and natural flavors.

When do you take soft energy bites?

On the bike, they are handy to grab in between sips of your sports drink. When running, you can easily eat them on the go without having to slow down. And during a long walk, bike ride or a busy day, they are a light, fruity addition that keeps your energy levels up.

For intense exertion, the advice is to consume 60 to 80 grams of carbohydrates per hour. That amounts to 5 to 7 bites per hour, depending on what else you eat and drink.

Soft energy bites vs. energy gel: what's the difference?

An energy gel is swallowed in one go. That works if you want to refuel quickly at high speed, but not everyone finds that pleasant. Soft energy bites are chewed two to three times. That helps with hunger and feels more like eating. You also dose them more easily: one bite at a time instead of a whole sachet.
